Before the peel: the important part is to interview the patient to understand the condition & the expectation thus explaining the steps of the procedure. This peel has a downtime of 7 to 10days at an average, so the client has to follow the proper instruction given by us during & after this procedure. Before this peel is done we put the patient on priming cream, it means creams like mild bleaching agent or lightening creams are given so the client skin gets primed & prepared for the peel. Priming is done 15 to 21days prior to the peel procedure.

Peel Procedure: The face is properly cleansed & the makeup is removed & the decreasing of the skin is done with an alcohol swab so that the area is completely dry for better absorption. Then occlusion is done with petroleum jelly around the eye, nostrils and around the mouth. Then the first layer of peel is applied and then massaged into the skin and then wait for 15 to 20mins and then reapply the second coat after which you tell the client to keep the peel for 6hrs and then wash it with plain water.

Post Procedure: The first 2days the client has mild redness and swelling which subsides by the 3rd day evening & the peeling starts on that particular area, this is the time when the client has to take care of the skin with the help of prescribed sunscreen & moisturizers, if not taken care one can end up having infection & post inflammatory hyper pigmentation. After the peel, the cleansers should not be used 6 to 7hrs & then followed by moisturizers & sunscreen. Avoid scrubbing and any other procedure immediately.

It is highly recommended to go for this procedure under an expert dermatologist.
